Research Interest:

My major research interest includes the cultivation of previously uncultivated bacteria from environmental samples and their polyphasic taxonomic characterization. I am also interested to develop the high-throughput cultivation devices to capture the new microorganisms (with potential biotechnological application) from marine habitats. I am excited to learn about the requirements of uncultivated microorganisms to grow them in pure form. My current research involves the cultivation and physiological characterisation of novel putative lineages of bacteria (Cloacimonetes and uncultivated Chloroflexi) from  Black sea.
