Direction and evolutionary trajectories

In this collaborative research project that is led by Prof. Dr. Tom A. Williams at Bath University, we seek to investigate the underlying evolutionary drivers of symbiotic integration, the conditions under which these lead to major evolutionary transitions, the extent of determinism and directionality, and the implications for theories of biological individuality and agency.
