Robotics
The Marine Robotics Center within NIOZ was newly established in 2025, with a highly specialized team that will focus on innovative technologies such as gliders, an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), and a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).
These robotics will deliver professional technological support to enable innovative sea research. The team’s responsibility is to maintain and operate the instruments that are available to scientists working at NIOZ, as well as for external scientists with grants that give them access to the NMF facilities.
