National Marine Facilities
The NIOZ department National Marine Facilities (NMF) manages, maintains and operates facilities for Dutch marine research. We provide ships and seagoing equipment, as well as qualified personnel to operate the infrastructure, develop new tools, and support fieldwork with technical expertise.
The NMF department encompasses different teams, responsible for the operational matters of the research fleet, the development of new equipment both for open sea and coastal areas, and the technical and logistical support for all marine research activities and equipment. The NMF department is also home to all our ships’ crew members.
