IPCC Seventh Assessment Report

Lead Author for Working Group 1, Chapter 6: Global Projections of Earth system responses across time scales

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) provides policymakers with up-to-date assessments of the science on climate change, its risk and impacts, and potential mitigation and adaptation options. Work is currently underway for the seventh cycle of assessment reports.

Project description

The IPCC report is produced by about 750 scientists from around the world. The IPCC consists of three working groups: Working Group I on the Physical Science Basis, Working Group II on Impacts and Adaptation, and Working Group III on Mitigation. Each working group provides their own assessment report,  every 5-8 years.

Aimée Slangen is lead author on Chapter 6 of the Working Group I report, on the global projections of climate change, where she is responsible for assessing the projected changes in the ocean and sea-level change in particular.
