General Support
Our General Support department ensures that NIOZ continues to run smoothly behind the scenes. From taking care of our people and sharing our story to managing our facilities, finances and projects: Human Resources, Communications, ICT, Facility Management and Finance work together to support our mission every day.
Our teams
Communications
The Communications department manages NIOZ’s internal and external communication. Our goal is to share NIOZ’s knowledge and stories with colleagues, partners, and the public. We maintain the website and intranet, coordinate media relations, create content for social media, support projects with communication strategies and organize events.
Human Resources
Our HR department supports colleagues throughout their careers: from recruitment and selection to professional development and vitality. Together, we ensure a pleasant and healthy working environment in which growth is central and everyone can contribute to the objectives of NIOZ based on their talents.
ICT
The ICT department at NIOZ provides researchers and staff with reliable, secure, and innovative digital solutions. From high-performance computing for scientific data to daily support, our team ensures that everyone can work at their best.
Finance
The Finance department manages NIOZ’s financial processes, such as budgeting, reporting and contract administration. We ensure transparency and accurate figures to keep projects and activities financially sound.

Invoices can be sent via e-mail to finance@nioz.nl. Please always list the correct project- or budget number (your NIOZ contact can provide this information).

Facility Management
Behind the scenes, Facility Management makes research possible. By ensuring well-maintained facilities, efficient logistics and inspiring workplaces, we give NIOZ the space to grow.
