Locatie Yerseke
De tweede locatie is in Yerseke, aan de rand van de Oosterschelde. Hier ligt de focus op onderzoek naar estuariene ecosystemen. De locatie omvat een onderwaterlaboratorium met twaalf betonnen bassins. Bij vloed staan deze in directe verbinding met de Oosterschelde, waardoor onderzoekers onder realistische, natuurlijke omstandigheden experimenten kunnen uitvoeren.

Parking
There is a parking space for disabled visitors in the car park at the main entrance.
Visitors in wheelchairs
NIOZ is easily accessible for visitors in wheelchairs via the main entrance. There is a lift in the building to change floors.
Assistance dogs
The NIOZ is partially accessible to visible assistance dogs, for which a recognisable harness is required. However, there are areas where they are not allowed, such as the laboratories. More information is available from the receptionists.
Accessible toilets
The NIOZ has a toilet on the ground floor that is accessible to wheelchair users.
Breastfeeding
A room is available for expressing milk or breastfeeding.
Quiet and prayer room
The receptionists will be happy to help visitors find a suitable room.
