One of the videos was a very realistic one that showed how a hand gets smashed if it is in the way of a closing metal door, it involved a lot of blood or more probably a large amount of ketchup. This one will probably stay in our heads forever.

Packing, loading and unpacking all sorts of equipment doesn’t seem to be too challenging. But only if you are helping out and someone else does the logistic and precise planning.
WHAT is the CHARLET project about?
To celebrate that the cruise went really well and because today was Pi day, there was pie. Rik en Hein made an awesome cake which was definitely one of the highlights of the cruise.
At about 3 o'clock this afternoon, everybody was requested to be on the foredeck for a group photo.
Finally, the sun showed up on the 7th day of the cruise. The day started at a first station near the island of Terschelling, where we were able to get mobile phone signal.
The weather has being playing with our feelings. The 5:00 am shift woke up to a blizzard (snow, -1ºC, and force 8-9 winds), but a couple of hours later we were able to witness the first sunrise and bits of blue sky since the first day of measurements.
So far so good. Sampling the East Anglia plume has never been so pleasant…despite the rough sea and the cold wind.
Today no catastrophes as fridges falling open, but unfortunately the sensors on our outboard pipe are failing. Quite a pity, because now we're missing interesting data on the speed of the current...
