General

I started at Royal NIOZ in the Toxicology group in 2000 as a lab technician with a bachelors degree in environmental chemistry and experience in environmental and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Research Interests and Tasks

Organic contaminants; occurrence, transport and metabolisation of Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons, Polychlorinated Biphenyls, Pesticides and Brominated Flame retardants.

Global transport of Organic Trace Gases.

Development of analytical methods and equipment.

Analyses with (Purge&Trap) GC-MS/ECD HPLC-UV/Fluorescence.

Supporting Kees Booij with lab work, technical skills and data.

Safety advisor for laboratory, chemicals and chemical waste for the Royal NIOZ.

Member of the Royal NIOZ fire brigade.
