Explore the COREBASE database
The Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research maintains a repository of sediment cores. The
Department of Marine Geology
administers this repository being also the main provider of
cores. In cooperation with the Data Management Group an online archive of the stored cores
has been developed, to give a detailed inventory of the cores, their status
and the analyses, which have been performed. Furthermore a
XRF CoreScanner delivers photographs of the cores and
the inventory will be updated with these detailed images in the near future.
