Maas An introduction to internal waves, by T.Gerkema and J.T.F.Zimmerman Mare Incognitum (English), (Dutch), by L.R.M.Maas   Lectures: Time: Tuesdays, 13:15-15:00 (February 8 – July 9) Location: BBL408, UU   Course work consists of: 1.       Exercises (handed out during course, non-obligatory) 2.       Reading of relevant papers and 10-15 min. presentation thereof 3.       One day experiments on internal waves at NIOZ-Texel (groups of 2 persons) 4.       Exam   Course load: 3.75 ECTS ( = 20 weeks, 5 hr/week, lectures plus exercises/reading)   Course mark: The course mark is based for 60% on the results of the exam, 20% on student presentation of  paper, 20% on written report on experiments.
