General:

 

  • Education: HLO analytical chemistry, 1991
  • Date of birth: 31 August 1967 (Wijhe)
  • Working as a research co-worker at royal NIOZ since September 1994. Specialist in: (I) analyzing short living isotopes as 210Pb, 226Ra and 137Cs with alpha and gamma spectrometry (II) modeling of isotope profiles in sediment (III) analyzing Mg/Ca, Sr/Ca, Ba/Ca in corals, and stable lead in sediments with a high resolution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (HR-ICP-MS).
  • Responsible for lab and some high tech instruments.

 

Research Interests:

 

  • Natural and anthropogenic radionuclides and stable lead in the marine environment. Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca in tropical and deep sea corals as indicators for paleao temperatures.
