Centropages hamatus adult male

 

 Description of adult male: the adult male of Centropages hamatus is characterised by 4 pairs of long swimming feet and a short 5^th one which has the shape of a claw. The forebody consists of 6 segments, the last of which ends with 2 small spines. The urosome has 3 segments, plus the telson. The right antennule is thickened and contains a joint enabling to grip the female during mating.
