Practical information for participants.

How to get there

Texel is the largest North Sea island of The Netherlands. Coming from abroad you will most likely fly to Amsterdam Airport (Schipol). From here you best take the train (Dutch Railways, NS) to Den Helder, the bus to the ferry terminal (TESO Ferry) and simply walk to NIOZ or take the bus to your hotel. The NIOZ site gives a good guide for the train and bus connection.

Please be aware that the last ferry to the island leaves Den Helder at 21:30hrs!
