HOE BEREIKT U ONS? / HOW TO REACH NIOZ?

NL: De TESO veerboten over het Marsdiep, het zeegat �tussen Den Helder en Texel, vertrekken vanaf 06:30 tot 21:30 elk uur (XX:30) vanuit Den Helder en tussen 06:00 en 21:00 (XX:00) vanaf Texel. De overtocht duurt ongeveer 20 minuten. Op sommige dagen wordt er met 2 boten en dus met een dubbele frequentie gevaren. Meer informatie vindt u op www.teso.nl .

Het NIOZ bevindt zich op ongeveer 5 minuten loopafstand van de TESO veerhaven op de zuid-oost punt van Texel. Als u van de TESO veerboot afkomt, slaat u direct scherp rechtsaf en loopt langs de havenkom. Daarna wordt u met borden naar de hoofdingang (1) en de goedereningang (2) geleid. Voor de NIOZ haven volgt u eerst richting goedereningang. Daarna vervolgt u de weg onder de dijk (�Zuiderhaaks�). Deze doodlopende weg eindigt op de NIOZ haven (3). Aan de kant van de NIOZ haven bevindt zich het aquariumgebouw (4). Hier bevindt zich een tweede parkeerplaats en een fietsenstalling.

EN: The TESO ferries across the �Marsdiep� tidal inlet between the city of Den Helder and the isle of Texel depart between 06:30 and 21:30 on every half hour (XX:30) from Den Helder and between 06:00 and 21:00 from Texel. The crossing takes about 20 minutes. Occasionally, both ferries are in active service, resulting in a traveling scheme with a double frequency. More Information on www.teso.nl .

NIOZ is located at about 5 minutes walking distance from the ferry terminal at Texel. When you disembark from the ferry, turn sharp right immediately. Signs will lead you to the main entrance (1) or the entrance for goods deliveries (2). For the NIOZ harbour you first follow the road to the goods delivery entrance. Then continue on the road at the foot of the dike (�Zuiderhaaks�). This is a dead-end street which ends at the NIOZ harbour (3). The aquarium building (4) is located at the far end of the institute pointing towards the NIOZ harbour. You can also park your car or bicycle here.
