Description of female
Copepodite stage IV: this instar of Acartia clausi is characterised by 4 pairs of long swimming feet
and a very short 5th one. The forebody consists of 5 segments. The urosome
has 1 segment, which is ventrally slightly swollen, plus the telson. The furca
carries 5 pairs of setae, the outermost of which has developed newly and is
very short yet.
