The impact of bioturbation and hypoxia on sediment nitrogen cyclingMy current work primarily focusses on how, and how much, the benthic nitrogen cycle is affected by the activity of benthic animals (bioturbation), with a special focus on denitrification. I also work on the nitrogen cycle in sediments from the seasonally hypoxic marine Lake Grevelingen. |
