Stayokay Texel

Het hostel ligt centraal op het eiland, op loopafstand van het levendige centrum van Den Burg en 6 km van het strand. Het moderne hostel is ingericht volgens een nieuw interieurconcept: natuurlijke materialen en rustige kleuren zorgen voor een unieke sfeer en een ruimtelijk gevoel. Routebeschrijving per auto

Leave the ferry and drive straight in the direction of 'Den Burg' until the roundabout near the village (about 6 km distance). Here, you turn right into the village. After approx. 0.5 km the road makes a 120º right turn, and after another 0.5 km it makes a 135º left turn. Just after this left turn there is a small road on your left hand (at 90º). This gives access to the parking lot of hotel den Burg, which is located slightly (approx. 50 m) further along the main road that you have left, also on your left hand. If you missed this small road on your left, you will pass the hotel on the main road, but you can drive back by making a full circle on the roundabout just after the hotel (at the VW garage 'De Texelse Autocentrale').



Route to hotel 'Den Burg' by bus:

At the ferry terminal of Texel, leave the ferry on the right hand side and you will automatically see the bus terminal. From there, take Conexxion bus 28 with destination 'De Koog via Den Burg'. The village of Den Burg is located centrally on the island about 7 km from the ferry harbour. The bus stop where you have to go out is the first stop after the main bus terminal in Den Burg (named 'De Elemert'). When the bus departs again from the main terminal, it turns sharply left onto the Emmalaan. Then you first see a green field on your left hand side and after about 300 m there are again some buildings. The bus passes the hotel and the next bus stop is located just after the roundabout onto which you arrive just after the bus has passed the hotel. This bus stop is called 'De negenennegentig (The 99)'. From there you walk about 150 m back to the hotel.

Routebeschrijving bus:
  • Bij het verlaten van de veerboot vindt u aan uw rechterhand het busstation.
  • Kies Connexxion bus 28 met als bestemming 'De Koog via Den Burg'. Het dorp Den Burg ligt centraal op het eiland op ca 7 km vanaf de veerhaven.
  • U dient de bust te verlaten op het busstation in Den Burg ('De Elemert').
  • Vervolg de Elemert richting het centrum en na twee dwarsstraten komt u uit op het plein ('de Groeneplaats'); aan uw linkerhand ziet u opticien 'Winnubst'.
  • Aan de overzijde ziet u het statige hotel 'de Lindeboom'.

 

Routebeschrijving auto: 
  • Vanaf de boot volgt u de doorgaande weg richting Den Burg
  • Na 6 kilometer gaat u op de rotonde rechtsaf
  • Aan uw linkerhand passeert u de VVV
  • U neemt nu de tweede straat links
  • Aan uw linkerhand passeert u het busstation. Rechts ziet u de dorpsvijver.
  • U rijdt rechtdoor, behalve op maandag (markt) en op woensdag in julie en augustus (folklore).
  • Op het plein aangekomen houdt u links aan.
  • Voor u ziet u 'Hotel de Lindeboom'. De slagbomen gaan automatisch open.

Route and shuttle service to hotel 'De Pelikaan’:

When you contact the reception of Hotel de Pelikaan at least 1 day in advance and tell them your expected time of arrival at the ferry harbour, the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service from 09.00 to 17.00 o'clock to pick you up. They also provide this transport service to and from NIOZ on the days you work there. Hotel de Pelikaan is located in the countryside near the forest and the National Park ‘Dunes of Texel’ about 11 km North of the ferry terminal (and NIOZ).



Route to hotel 'De Pelikaan' by car:

Leave the ferry and drive straight in the direction of ‘De Koog’ and pass ‘Den Burg’. All exits of the main road N501 are numbered; take exit 14 to the left. After a few hundred meters, you cannot miss the hotel on your right-hand side.
