The department of Finance, Control and Contracts supports and monitors the financial policiy of NIOZ and is in charge of contracts management. It is responsible for payments between the institute and

• governments and organizations that fund research
• suppliers and recipients of services
• its employees

In addition, the department accounts for all national and international research projects at NIOZ and prepares the budget and financial statements.
