Dr. ir. Ellen C. Hopmans succesvol in NWO-MG

Aan Dr. ir. Ellen C. Hopmans is een bedrag toegekend voor het aanschaffen van een quadrupole-orbitrap HPLC massaspectrometer. Met deze hoge resolutie massaspectrometer kunnen nauwkeurige metingen worden verricht aan specifieke vetmoleculen in het mariene milieu. Dit levert unieke informatie op over het metabolisme van microben, de stikstof- en koolstofcycli, en klimaatveranderingen in het verleden.

Promotie Petra Schoon

Petra Schoon verdedigt op 3 April 2013 om 14.30 uur te Utrecht haar proefschrift.
De titel van haar proefschrift luidt:

"Impact of CO2  and pH on the stable carbon isotopic composition and distribution of microbial biomarker lipids."

Op 17 December om 12.45 uur verdedigt Raquel Lopes dos Santos aan de Universiteit Utrecht haar proefschrift, getiteld:

'Reconstruction of late Quaternary marine and terrestrial environmental conditions of Northwest Africa and Southeast Australia: A multiple organic proxy study using marine sediments.'

Promotie Darci Rush

Op 3 December om 14.30 uur, zal Darci Rush haar proefschrift verdedigen aan de Universiteit Utrecht. De titel van haar proefschrift luidt: 

'Ladderanes as tracers of present and past anaerobic ammonium oxidation.'
